Paul "Crazzzy" Peters

Bassist

When Paul was 16 he originally wanted to be a drummer, but due to his lack of funds, he made a decision that changed his life. He went to his local music store and bought the only instrument he could afford: a right-handed bass guitar.

Being that Paul was left-handed, he didn't figure he would stick with the bass that he had bought. At the time, he was really into Stone Temple Pilots, Rage Against the Machine, and Korn. Each one of these bands had amazing bassists so Paul decided that getting rid of the bass might not be such a good idea. Plus he couldn't afford the left-handed one.

Then one day Paul found out that his cousin was a bassist, and a pretty damn good one. Paul told his cousin about his favorite bassists and his cousinshot him a confused look and asked, "Do you know who Victor Wooten is?" Paul had never heard of him. Once Paul found out about Victor Wooten, he understood that even if he could afford drums, he no longer wanted to play them. He had found his calling.

Paul then applied to attend Victor Wooten’s Bass and Nature Camp. After failing to get in the first 2 years, he finally got accepted, and he attended hi firstof 3 Bass and Nature Camps. Needless to say, it was from these camps that Paul accelerated his skills. Learning from the likes of Victor Wooten, Steve Bailey, Chuck Rainey, and countless others helped Paul become the bassist that he is today.

As far as where the name "Crazzzy" comes from: Paul's Mother's name is Karma, and everyone who says "Karma's a bitch" drives him nuts! If you ask Paul "Why the 3 Z's?" he'll tell you "One for me, myself, and I!"
